Finance Settings:<\/span><\/h2>\n

This is where you enter a number of the basic items that will be used in the creation of invoices, instalment plans, discounts etc.,<\/a><\/p>\n

Payment Schemes:<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

A payment scheme is a schedule of payments for a student to make to pay for their course. There are two ways you can create a payment scheme:<\/p>\n

\u2666 Create Payment Scheme Installment by Installment:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

This might be best if you have irregular payment dates and\/or amounts.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Click “Add”.<\/li>\n
  2. Name the scheme.<\/li>\n
  3. Click “Add installment”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    We now need to create the installments:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Put the amount of that installment.<\/li>\n
    2. Put the date it is due.<\/li>\n
    3. You can give the installment a name.<\/li>\n
    4. Click to add another installment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Continue until you have added all the installments click Save:<\/p>\n

      \u2666 Create Scheme using Generate Installment Button:<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

      With this method we do not use the “Add Installment” button:<\/p>\n

        1. Name the scheme.<\/li>\n
        2. Click “Generate installments”.<\/li>\n
        3. Fill in installment details, note the Amount to be put here is the TOTAL<\/strong> due.<\/li>\n
        4. Click “Generate”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          The payment scheme will appear:<\/p>\n

          1. You can alter the amounts, the total, the dates due and add tags.<\/li>\n
          2. When you have finished click “Save”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            \u2666 Other ways of Creating a Payment Scheme:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

            There are two other items that can be used in creating a payment scheme and that is where you update an existing one. This is particularly useful if you are starting a new school term or year; you can update an existing scheme.<\/p>\n

            1. Add Year Button<\/strong> – if you want to reuse an existing payment scheme, just select the period you want to add:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Choosing the 6 month option would change the above to:<\/p>\n

              2. Generate Installments – Clear Previous: <\/strong>this is again to overwrite an existing payment scheme that you want to reuse. Clicking this option will delete any installments the payment scheme already has.<\/a><\/p>\n

              Discounts:<\/span><\/h2>\n

              In these Settings we create discounts that can be applied to students’ tuition fees.<\/p>\n

                \n
              1. Go to “Discounts”.<\/li>\n
              2. Click “Add”.<\/li>\n
              3. Give the discount a name.<\/li>\n
              4. Put the amount of the discount.<\/li>\n
              5. There are two options here: Percentage discount in which case the amount in 4. would be 15%, or in which case the amount would be 15 Euros, or whatever currency your school has in its Settings.<\/li>\n
              6. When you have a number of discounts that can be applied to a booking this tells the system the order in which to apply them as this can affect the final total of all discounts given.<\/li>\n
              7. Discount distribution, there are number of options as to where the discount can be applied, they are:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
