Classes<\/span><\/h1>\n

This tutorial has a number of sections dealing with Class Status, Attendance, Class Details and Student Cancellations.<\/p>\n

Class Statuses:<\/span><\/h2>\n

SchoolMate assumes that all lessons are taught as planned. Class statuses let you mark a lesson to show if there is anything different about it. You do not need to make changes for lessons which are taught as planned.<\/p>\n

    1. Click “Add”.<\/li>\n
    2. Put in the name.<\/li>\n
    3. Select a function. The possible functions are:\n
        \n
      1. Empty <\/strong>\u2013 this is the default, this function will not make changes to the system.<\/li>\n
      2. Cover <\/strong>\u2013 if this is selected then, a card will appear from where you can choose a replacement teacher for the lesson.<\/li>\n
      3. Lesson<\/strong>\u00a0cancelled<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 if this is chosen, you will be asked if you want to replace the cancelled lesson to match the total number of lessons for the group. \u00a0The group end date will change.<\/li>\n
      4. Lesson\u00a0took place<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 this will include the lesson in the teacher\u2019s pay settlement.<\/li>\n
      5. Day off<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a lesson with this status will not be included in the student\u2019s and teacher\u2019s settlement, this status will result in a message asking whether to re-generate the classes to add another lesson (to match the total number of lessons). The group end date will change.<\/li>\n
      6. Skip<\/strong>\u00a0date<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 a lesson with this status will not be included in the student\u2019s and teacher\u2019s reckoning, you will need to re-generate the classes to add a new lesson. The group end date will change. The lesson will not appear in the classes list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      7. Enter the percentage the student, or company, will pay of the fee for the lesson and the percentage of the regular payment the teacher will receive for the lesson.<\/li>\n
      8. Click “Save”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Where are Class Statuses entered?<\/span><\/h2>\n

        1. Go to the lessons card in groups.<\/li>\n
        2. Find the lesson and click on the “V”.<\/li>\n
        3. Select the lesson status you want to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Attendance Statuses:<\/span><\/h2>\n

          SchoolMate assumes that students attend lessons, and PRESENT<\/strong> is the default attendance setting for students, therefore, we only need to have attendance settings for anything other than PRESENT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

          2. Give a name to the item.<\/li>\n
          3. Give a short name – this will appear in the attendance summaries.<\/li>\n
          4. Function – what does it mean in terms of the student’s attendance<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
